2019-2020 TRYOUT INFORMATION BOYS BASKETBALL
We will be hosting our annual pre-tryout meeting on Tuesday October 8th at 8pm in the commons. Please enter through door 6 (same door you would enter for basketball games) and we will start promptly at 8pm. This meeting will give you all the information you need in regards to trying out for boys basketball. You can meet the staff and ask questions.
Information until then to help you get a jump start on preparing for tryouts:
1. Please complete a physical and make sure the paperwork if fully completed before turning it in to Mrs. Nelson

2. Concussion Training
In person concussion training must be completed by first year Battlefield students (freshman and any student new to Battlefield) BOTH PARENT AND ATHLETE MUST ATTEND IN PERSON

Online concussion training can be completed by anyone that has already done an in person training (this is not available during school hours and athlete AND parent must complete)

You must turn in concussion and physical to Mrs. Nelson after school and she will give you a yellow sheet of paper.
You take this yellow half sheet of paper and give it to Coach Bills.
Once you have turned in the paper to Coach Bills then you are able to tryout on the first day November 12th.
Tryouts will take place November 12th-November 14th.
Varsity 2:30-4:00 Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Fresh & JV 6:30-8:30 Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Cuts will be made on the 14th. If your child is still actively involved in a fall sport they will tryout after the conclusion of the fall sports season (please speak to Coach Bills on an individual basis if this applies to you)
More information will be given at the meeting. If you are unable to attend please email Coach Bills after the 8th for any paperwork you may need.
